The ohio german shepherd breeders will usually have pictures available.
This breed comes in various colors including black and red, black and tan, black and cream, black and sliver, solid black, sable (gray,) blue, liver, and white. Actually, the coat of these dogs should have rich, strong colors. Diluted colors are not desirable. As a matter of fact, liver, blue and white are genetically diluted colors, and are not bred by responsible breeders. The dog colored white were not allowed to the show and could compete in performance training events only. Recently, white dogs of this breed were considered to be a separate variety within the breed.

Nowadays, temperament and working abilities are the priorities in breeding these dogs, though conformation is also important. This breed is admired all over the world for its intelligence and versatility. Being originally bred for herding sheep, these creatures perform many tasks and make loving and reliable pets. The early dogs of this breed varied in body build, coat length and its color and texture. High intelligence, soundness and the ability to perform specialized work united all varieties of the breed.
